The Dark Flowers performed at the Mayfaire Renaissance Faire the last two weekends of May, 2009. Memorial Day was earlier this year. The Dark Flower Gypsies are proud to announce the addition of two new younger dancers to our troupe. Yasmin and Moria will begin dancing with us for the 2009 Faire Season! Yasmin is the daughter of Haven & Amanda of the Swords of Valor and Moria is the daughter of Mirella (formerly Moria in honor of her daughter). The Dark Flowers danced for the Grand Valley State University Renaissance Faire in October of 2008. Pagan Pride in Grand Rapids mid September 2008. Unfortunately the Illinois Renaissance Faire in Danville, Illinois was canceled for 2008. Pirate Festival in Muskegon, 2008. Raisa had knee surgery at the end of July and was not allowed to dance with the group again until the middle of September. Mothergrove in Michigan, mid July 2008. The Dark Flowers attended Spirit of the Tribes 2008 in Florida the third week of April. Lots of new ideas for the coming season. The Dark Flowers were able to vend at the CD Launching Hafla of Ensemble Al-Asdeka in March 2008. The Dark Flowers performed at theExpressions in Orientale seminar show, hosted by the Sultana Dancers March 2008. featuring Amaya. Amara and Mora performed in the Raks Gothique Show presented by Sonya of Arabesque in Chicago, Dec 8, 2007. The Dark Flowers attended the workshop.
